The heart of the northern Vaucluse has been for centuries the charming market town of Vaison-la-Romaine, a luxurious patrician resort in Roman times whose ruins and museums provide the earliest evidence of a fine provençal lifestyle. The beautiful landscapes around Vaison, dominated by the mighty bulk of Mont Ventoux and the filigree limestone formations of the Dentelles de Montmirail, are dotted with small delightful villages, each with its unique charm and attraction. Séguret, one of the several ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ in the area, is overlooked by the ruins of its feudal château, and nearby former Knights Templar commanderie Roaix produces a fine Côtes-de-Rhône Villages. Malaucène boasts remnants from Roman times, as well as Gallic and medieval traces. Sablet is overlooked by its 12th century Eglise-St-Nazaire and its 14th century ramparts, and Puyméras, just northeast of Vaison, offers lovely views over lavender fields from the ruined château at the top of the village.

Fabulous! We loved it!
Our favourite house was Hameau des Anges – we loved the bright and clean interior and the outdoor kitchen which meant we could essentially spend all our time outdoors. Armand was charming and very helpful as ever.
We have just returned from our holiday at Hameau des Anges which we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved the house and the surrounding area. Armand was the kindest and most charming house manager we have ever encountered and helped to ensure that all our needs were met. We have been holidaying in France for some years and this was by far the smoothest and most pleasurable rental.
We have had a marvellous holiday. Beautiful house and countryside. Best in fifteen years of family holidays in France. So peaceful sitting on the terrace. Thank you very much.
All that one could want or expect.
Really lovely house, pool and pretty gardens. Really well kitted out kitchen. Armand was very helpful. Loved the area.
Beautiful house and gardens. Most enjoyable holiday for all the family. Armand is a gem.
An amazing place! Fabulous views, great weather, such a beautiful house and setting. We have had a fabulous holiday and hope to return.
What a place -we loved it. The early morning swims were wonderful, just the right temperature. We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did.
A wonderful spacious house with lovely pool. So well equipped - we were able to cook lots of delicious meals with herbs from the garden - I'll be back.
A lovely house in Provence, lots of great cycling, wine, food and sitting by the pool. Everything works very well and Armand a great help.
