Set in just over a hectare of enclosed grounds, the contemporary design relates magically with its surroundings. In front of the house is a large outdoor swimming pool which flows into an eastern-inspired water feature with water lillies and fish with a path of duckboards across it. A narrow stream runs along one side of the house which is lit up at night. There is a large terrace the length of the house, ideal for outdoor meals.
The caretakers live on the premises in a separate building and they provide daily cleaning. One is an excellent cook and her services are available on request.
The interior is simply stunning and extremely spacious. The design is exceptional and all the materials used are original and of high quality. The decoration is restrained but elegant with a Balinese influence, creating a zen-like atmosphere. In the middle of the main house at ground level is a double height living and dining room with volcanic stone walls and a retractable picture window opening onto a large terrace overlooking the pools. Above, a raised walkway leads to the first level. Next to the dining area is a fully-equipped, air-conditioned kitchen which gives onto a beautiful indoor swimming pool enclosed by windows and sheltered by the framework of a Balinese house and its colonnades. From the indoor pool area a few steps lead down to a spa area with hammam, infra-red sauna, shower and wc, and to a cinema room with gym equipment.
On the ground floor are two double bedrooms (160cm beds) which share a bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub and a separate Italian shower and a wc. One of the bedrooms opens onto the garden.
There are two sections to the first floor, on either side of the raised walkway: one with the master double bedroom (180cm bed) with an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate Italian shower, as well as a large private terrace; the other with two double bedrooms (180cm beds) sharing a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate Italian shower and a wc.
A separate building close to the house (external access only) contains a large bedroom (210cm bed) with air-conditioning, a shower room and a wc.

To the east of the vast, salty marshland at the delta of the Rhône known as the Camargue lies elegant and vibrant Aix-en-Provence, the town of a thousand fountains, with lively markets, world-famous cultural festivals, and art museums and ateliers dedicated to its most famous son, Paul Cézanne. Rampart-surrounded Old Aix is now a charming pedestrian zone, its lower border the plane-tree-lined Cours Mirabeau, with cafés and restaurants on one side and classically-adorned hotels on the other. East of Aix the ponderous mass of Montagne-Ste-Victoire dominates the landscape, and was a constant inspiration for Cézanne. To the southwest, between the Camargue and Marseille, is the Estaque, a rugged limestone formation that gives onto the Mediterranean at some very pleasant small resorts: Sausset-les-Pins, Carry-le-Rouet, and Niolon.

This is the place for an exotic and luxurious experience of provençal living. The combination of the scents and flavours of Provence with a Bali-inspired setting make this villa quite unique. There is a water theme throughout, with indoor and outdoor pools, fountains and ponds.
