This floor plan was prepared in good faith and may not be exactly to scale.

The Tarn River meanders its way down along the precipitous landscapes of the Gorges du Tarn. Close to its junction with the Garonne River is the “Ville Rose” Montauban, the second oldest bastide town in southern France, and birthplace of the painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres; the fine museum dedicated to him now stands in the former episcopal palace. At Moissac, the 12th century cloister and south porch at the abbey church of St-Pierre are famous throughout the art world, and worth visiting from anywhere nearby. A number of “plus beaux villages de France” are within reach: Auvillar, dating back to Roman times, is a fortified village overlooking the Garonne with a unique circular covered market; gorgeous Lauzerte was a stop on the pilgrim’s route to St-Jean-de-Campostelle. Actually in the Tarn, but worth the journey, is Albi, home to a stunning Gothic cathedral, built in red brick between the 13th and 15th centuries, and a fine museum devoted to its most famous native son, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

Mr David Clifford (2016)

It's a lovely house in a very quiet location but close enough to the beautiful small town of Lauzerte. The house obviously has a core of real fans who return time after time.

Mrs Gabrielle Dennis (2015)

This villa was the perfect arrangement for our family group. 3 mums and dads 4 under 8 year olds, 3 teenagers and 2 grandparents. Very comfortable with lots of space. Anne was there to meet us and show us around. She also cooked a meal for us one night - very French and more than enough for us all. Another blessing was having 3 dishwashers!! very necessary with large numbers.

Veerle Nuyens (2012)

It’s with huge pleasure that I stayed at Le Masgrès with my daughters and family. The weather was wonderful, in the evenings we ate outside, and we could hear the ‘zuzusement’ (word invented by me) of the trees and the song of the crickets. I felt like a guest in the house and not like an ordinary holidaymaker. Everywhere were objects chosen with love and exquisite refinement. Each bedroom had its own personal character. I remember a tennis racket used as a mirror in one of the bathrooms. The library upstairs with its secret passage was a marvel. And the books! As an avid reader it felt like finding old friends all over again. If beautiful is synonymous with truth then this house is the perfect image. I would like to thank the housekeeper Anna for all her attention. (translated from the French)

Ms Jessica Uyttenhove (2012)

Beautiful well maintained property in a very peaceful setting. Provided ample space for our party of 11. Possibility to isolate yourself if needs be, but also possible to entertain a large group. Lots of quiet corners, magnificent garden and beautifully furnished house. All bedrooms have their bathroom, but on an anonymous basis.

Mr J.L. (2012)

We had a fantastic time. A really lovely house.

Mr Tom Wilkins (2011)

The villa was stunning. Anne was amazing, especially cooking. We had an incredible time!!!

Mrs Rachel Liechti (2010)

A breath taking view and beautiful house made this our best family holiday to date. We will be back!

Mrs Anna Scott (2009)

Well recommended by Dominique. The setting was stunning, the house was lovely, attractive and comfy. Great care had been taken by the owner with lovely geraniums on bedroom window sills. A great 2 weeks - could have stayed forever. And those fig trees - wow. And the terrace and outdoor eating area. All our guests loved it too.

Mr Peter Collison (2009)

The villa was excellent and lived up to all our expectations. Ann (the keyholder) was also first class and a great help.

Mrs M. E.

We had a lovely holiday and the house was perfect, as was de housekeeper. Beautifully furnished. Lots of outdoor areas to sit in. Lovely pool. Plenty of rooms and beds and linen. Wonderful cook, very helpful. All in all a great success. Accommodated my family of 14 easily. Cots and highchairs provided for the 3 babies. Thank you for providing us with such a lovely house. Marvellous.
