The house stands in an attractive enclosed garden. Steps lead down from the front porch to the swimming pool surrounded by tall hedges providing complete privacy. In addition to a pool security alarm there is also a small fence and gate at the bottom of the external steps of the house which helps prevent access to the pool.
The interior is very attractive, comfortable, and decorated with a tasteful mixture of antique and modern furniture. The main entrance opens directly into the spacious and attractive living room with an open fireplace and exposed stone walls. Off the living room is the dining room with a fully-fitted modern kitchen at one end. Also on the ground floor are a shower room with a wc, a twin bedroom (90cm beds) and a double bedroom (140cm bed). Upstairs are two double bedrooms (one with a 140cm bed and one with a 160cm bed) and a bathroom with wc. There is a small study area on the landing.
This floor plan was prepared in good faith and may not be exactly to scale.
The Tarn River meanders its way down along the precipitous landscapes of the Gorges du Tarn. Close to its junction with the Garonne River is the “Ville Rose” Montauban, the second oldest bastide town in southern France, and birthplace of the painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres; the fine museum dedicated to him now stands in the former episcopal palace. At Moissac, the 12th century cloister and south porch at the abbey church of St-Pierre are famous throughout the art world, and worth visiting from anywhere nearby. A number of “plus beaux villages de France” are within reach: Auvillar, dating back to Roman times, is a fortified village overlooking the Garonne with a unique circular covered market; gorgeous Lauzerte was a stop on the pilgrim’s route to St-Jean-de-Campostelle. Actually in the Tarn, but worth the journey, is Albi, home to a stunning Gothic cathedral, built in red brick between the 13th and 15th centuries, and a fine museum devoted to its most famous native son, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

One of the best houses we have stayed in France, it really was quite splendid and we had a grand time.
It was charming - a sweet village, very comfortable villa.
Outstanding quality of furniture and decor inside together with a classic villa commanding a great view. Restful and tranquil.
Very quiet, very private, fabulous views and good opportunities to play tennis in Septfonds and canoe in St-Antonin.
The setting was beautiful, right on the brow of a hill with a wide expansive view. The garden behind the pool provided ample space for the children and the little ones enjoyed the swings.
It is a beautiful villa in a lovely peaceful area.

Attractive personalised furnishings greet you in this warm house, but my favourite space is the covered terrace the length of the house overlooking the pool - no need to travel much further!
