The house is an extension to a 100-year-old barn and has been completely rebuilt with old local stone. The open grounds are vast (3 hectares) and there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool is 30 metres from the house and has a fully-equipped pool house (kitchen, built-in barbecue, shower, wc) with a covered dining area.
The interior has been renovated and decorated with much taste very much in keeping with the old stone walls, tiled floors and exposed beams. The ground floor consists mainly of a large open-plan room with a sitting area around a lovely fireplace, a dining area and a very well-equipped kitchen area. On the ground floor there are also a double bedroom (180cm bed) with an en suite bathroom with a wc, and a separate wc.
An open staircase leads up to a landing which overlooks the living area and opens onto two double bedrooms (140cm beds), a twin bedroom (with two large single beds - 120cm), a bathroom, and a separate wc.
This floor plan was prepared in good faith and may not be exactly to scale.
This property is located in the Gironde and close to both the Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne, making it ideal for discovering all three areas. The Gironde is the largest département in France, straddling the Gironde estuary formed by the confluence of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. It is the heart of Bordeaux wine country, producing 57 varieties of AOC vintages, including the perennial favourites St-Emilion, Médoc, Pauillac, Sauternes, and of course Bordeaux. Visitors from all over come to take tours of the vineyards, leaving with the boot full of bottles. Bordeaux, a busy port since Roman times, is a lively city of museums, theatres, and restaurants, especially in the 18th century city centre with its elegant shops and cafés. The vast Cathedral St-André and the stylish English public gardens are a must see.

Lovely setting. Very peaceful. Very well equipped kitchen.
The pool area exceeded expectations - the photographs on the website don't really do it justice - and was perfect for our party of young children.
We loved the property - the house was great for entertaining, and the pool area etc fantastic
Beautiful location and great renovation. The pool and grounds, whilst overgrown, were lovely. Plenty of equipment in kitchen apart from oven (now fixed). Good lighting outside but a lot of bulbs gone or not working. Having magnificent oak tree lit was truly wonderful.
Just wanted to say we had an absolutely fantastic time at Cueillerot. We've stayed at one of your villas once before and as before were not disappointed! The house was brilliant and Emma the housekeeper very helpful. The living area was truly spacious and airy and the kitchen was a cook's dream. The views from the house were stunning and the pool house right next to the pool with a fridge and a BBQ was a great place to while away the afternoon! The vineyards of the Duras were on our door step and if you are looking for La France profonde this is it-we had a great time!
It was beautiful and very well fitted out.
We've been twice before so knew what to expect - it didn't disappoint.
Superb location, immaculately presented villa. Great facilities for children.
Exceptionally well appointed villa. Pool area excellent - hot shower and toilet very much appreciated. Location great and surrounding grounds super.
Fantastic pool area, very well thought out. Extraordinary peaceful location. Villa has a lovely friendly ambience to it.
The position of the property and the pool area were superb and we were glad we could spend most time outdoors.
This is an outstanding property in a secluded and elevated position, with fine views and excellent facilities. Our children, aged 7 to 12, particularly enjoyed the space to run around, the pool, the games and the TV. Ideal for a relaxed family holiday.
The children loved the pool and the steps were perfect for our 3 year old. There is plenty of space and the villa is comfortable, with great bathrooms.
