This property is located in the Gironde and close to both the Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne, making it ideal for discovering all three areas. The Gironde is the largest département in France, straddling the Gironde estuary formed by the confluence of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. It is the heart of Bordeaux wine country, producing 57 varieties of AOC vintages, including the perennial favourites St-Emilion, Médoc, Pauillac, Sauternes, and of course Bordeaux. Visitors from all over come to take tours of the vineyards, leaving with the boot full of bottles. Bordeaux, a busy port since Roman times, is a lively city of museums, theatres, and restaurants, especially in the 18th century city centre with its elegant shops and cafés. The vast Cathedral St-André and the stylish English public gardens are a must see.

A charming rustic villa. Everything that we had imagined.
Villa was a fantastic size for our family of four children. They played in the pool all day, made fantastic use of the swings, table tennis, darts and the fabulous gardens. The dormitory, stocked with toys and books, provided endless hours of entertainment. The kitchen was excellently appointed with plenty of tableware, glasses of all sizes, utensils and lots of space. We couldn't have been happier!
Just a brief note to confirm that we had a wonderful time at Favreau. We have been using Dominique`s for many years now and have always been very delighted with the general ambience, specifications and cleanliness of all the properties that we have let. This year was the first time that we have returned to a house that we have let previously (last year). I hope that this speaks for itself!
We loved it!
We loved the informality, the 'at home' feel of the property - the bedrooms were excellent, also living areas and kitchen - also the garden and location, nestled in the vineyards was beautiful. It was quiet and remote, but an easy drive to several very good market towns, where we food shopped to our heart's content, then back to the family kitchen with its big communal table, to chop and cook and pour - then out to the garden to eat - perfect! We had a small dog with us, and as the garden was very well (and very attractively) secured there wasn't any escaping!
The villa was just as it was pictured on the website and we had a fantastic holiday. We arrived late on Sunday evening, but I had spoken to Emma (caretaker) who put the oven on before we actually arrived so that the dinner she had prepared for us could go straight in the oven. This may seem a small thing but it is the little things that make a good holiday
Favreau is a particularly beautiful and well-appointed property. The garden and pool were most agreeable. I have used your service several times now and have always been very happy with your service.
The kitchen is of a very high spec and the layout is excellent. There are some great films and space for children.
The property seemed somehow fresher this year and the rearrangements were an improvement.
This was a charming property set in mature gardens. The photos on the website didn't do justice to how lovely it was. We were impressed by the well-equipped kitchen.
I’d like to say how delighted we were with Favreau and how helpful Emma and Roy (caretakers) were. Indeed Emma cooked for us one evening, really appreciated as we had two very small children in the party.
Felt like living in owners' home. Attention to detail was wonderful, extremely comfortable, everything thought about - only superlatives come to mind! Comfort, size of room, books, pictures, kitchen equipment, pool, size of grounds.........
The photos were very accurate, although 2 photos were of the same room so I thought there were 2 twin bedded rooms. It didn't matter though. The villa was lovely and the attic room great for the kids. The weather wasn't very good for much of our 2 weeks so having a lovely house made the holiday for us. Glad the pool was heated too. It was a lovely villa, we'd love to go back.
Larger than expected. Very beautiful house. Great surroundings.
Beautiful house and garden full of interesting things. We love Favreau, it felt like a second home. Pool wonderful. Some more containers / serving dishes / tupperware boxes would be useful.
We thought it was a really charming house in a beautiful spot.
Emma (the caretaker) did a great job while we were in France. She was great with the kids and the food she prepared was excellent. The arrangement worked very well and she was extremely helpful, flexible, reliable and easy to be around.
Favreau lived up to and exceeded our expectations and every member of our family (ranging in age from over 70 to one year old), had a fantastic holiday.
Favreau is a much loved home which is ideal for family holidays. Much thought and attention to detail has gone into its presentation.
Gorgeous! Mrs F. Street: We had a really relaxing, peaceful holiday. The house was exceptionally well equipped which made the property ideal with a large family. Mrs Amanda Cunningham: Delightful - a truly comfortable villa, with a superb kitchen.
Property in general was very good. Exactly what we wanted.
We were delighted with the villa and our holiday in general. The house is a hidden gem. Mr Asquith: It was a lovely house, and very well equipped. If anything, it exceeded our expectations.
It's our kind of place ... We loved it!

This property should be our mascot - quite a classic with a wonderful personality. I sent our first clients there in 1987 and it improves every year. The owners continue to put their heart and soul into it.
