Location

Built in the 17th century, this idyllic provençal 'Mas' is set on a small hill surrounded by vineyards and enjoys delightful views. The lively small town of Carpentras is close by (2km); it offers a wide selection of shops and good restaurants, and a famous Friday market. There is another market at Aubignan (4km) on Saturdays. The beautiful town of Avignon is just 30km away. There are a tennis court and horse riding at Loriol (4km), three 18 hole golf courses about 20km away (at Saumane-de-Vaucluse, Morières-les-Avignon and Vedène), and a leisure lake 17km away at Mormoiron. The closest sandy beaches are in the Marseille area (100km).

Exterior

Three beautiful plane trees at the front of the house give welcome shade during the summer months and add to the wonderful atmosphere of the setting. There is a spacious shady terrace with views towards the Rhône Valley and overlooking the swimming pool. Swimming and boating are possible 100m away on the canal of Carpentras.

The caretaker occupies a wing of the house which is accessed by a separate entrance.

Interior

The interior is extremely attractive with spacious rooms and beautiful French country furniture. The large living/dining room has various double doors leading out onto the terrace, and the kitchen is rustic, in keeping with the style of the house. There is also a comfortable sitting room on the ground floor.

All the bedrooms, bathrooms and wcs are on the first floor, with one separate wc on a half-landing closer to the living area. The living/dining room can be air-conditioned - charge payable locally.
