In a prime location for visiting the many varied sites of Normandy, this 14th century Henri IV château finished in the 16th century is set in 12 hectares of gardens and fields and enjoys a pastoral setting close to a working dairy and cider farm. There are many local markets offering fresh produce nearby, as well as beautiful historic stone dwellings. It is located on the edge of the hamlet of Canchy, with shopping facilities and public tennis courts in La Cambe (3km) and Trévières (7km). Isigny-sur-Mer is 12km away, Bayeux at 25km, Caen just 54km, and Paris 3 hours by train.

Every day of the week there is a market in a different village nearby. Omaha beach (12km) is the closest coastal location for swimming and water sports, and there are many other good beaches. There is an 18 hole golf course 22km away overlooking the sea at Port-en-Bessin-Huppain.There is such an array of places to visit, from the landing beaches to the Bayeux tapestries, Mont St-Michel and the towns of Deauville and Honfleur, that the owner can arrange sightseeing trips with a very good local English-speaking guide (extra charge payable locally).

The interiors of the three houses are tastefully and comfortably furnished. The ground floor of the Main House consists of a large entrance hall opening onto a cosy winter living room with a walk-in fireplace, a larger summer living room, a stunning living/dining room, as well as a dining room off the kitchen, a laundry room and a separate wc.

On the first floor are the master double bedroom next to a bathroom with a wc, and a large dormitory with four single beds, each with a single pull-out bed, ideal for lots of children and a nanny, but also comfortable for adults. There is another bathroom with a wc on this floor.

On the second floor are a double bedroom next to a small landing suitable for a cot and a bathroom with a wc. At the top of the tower on a third level is a large double bedroom with an additional single bed, and a bathroom with a wc.

The Loft House is located in a building attached to the Main House (but only accessible from outside); all accommodation is on one level, with a double bedroom curtained off from the spacious living/dining and kitchen area, and a bathroom with a separate shower and a wc.

The Guest House is a separate builiding on two levels, with a large room downstairs consisting of a sitting area at one end and a small double bed and a shower room with a wc at the other, and a double bedroom on a mezzanine.

Occupancy is limited to 17 persons, including 3 children.
