You can walk to the golf course from here and the rest of the time enjoy the wide covered terrace the length of the house, just by the pool. The photos don't do the house justice - it's very comfortable and spacious inside.

Location

Situated in spacious grounds and peaceful surroundings, this superior barn conversion is full of character and charm. It is set on the edge of an excellent 27 hole golf course, (special rates available via the owner on request), 1km from both its club house and the village of Castelnaud-de-Gratecambe with basic shops. The lovely town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, with all shopping facilities and a twice-weekly market, is at 13km. Horse riding is possible 5km away and there are tennis courts on the grounds of the golf course.

Exterior

A long driveway leads up to the property which is set in 10 acres of grounds and includes pretty gardens and a large pond (unfenced) on the other side of the driveway. The swimming pool is set in a spacious paved border for sunbathing, in a splendid position surrounded by wide open spaces of rolling countryside. It benefits from a solar heating system which helps raise and maintain the temperature of the water by a few degrees, weather permitting.

Interior

The property has been carefully restored with comfortable furnishings and the interior is spacious, light and very well appointed. All the rooms are at ground level with a few steps between different parts of the house. The entrance is through a large hallway which leads to a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table; it opens onto a large covered terrace which faces an extensive lawn and the pool area. One of the double bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and a wc, and another has an en suite shower room with a wc. The bedrooms are large enough to contain the two additional folding beds. There is an additional shower room and a separate wc.
