There is a famous château at la Rochefoucauld (13km), as well as free concerts in July and August, and all shops and sports facilities. There are basic shops at St-Sornin (1km). All shops, services and bicycle hire can be found in the small town of Montbron (2km).

There is a tennis court at Vilhonneur, 5km away, and horse riding is possible at Pranzac (8.5km). There are 18 hole golf courses at Ecuras (10km) and Angoulême (25km). Swimming, fishing and canoeing are possible on both the River Tardoire (5 minutes away).
