Location

This stunning property consists of a provençal-style Château and a 150 year old Mas which been beautifully converted to a high standard. It boasts a fantastic location in the Alpilles close to some of the most sought-after sites in Provence: Les Baux-de-Provence (16km), St-Rémy-de-Provence (21km), Arles (21km) and Avignon (41km). The local village is St-Martin-de-Crau (3km) and has all shops, tennis courts and a Thursday market. The larger village of Mouriès with shops and restaurants and a provençal Wednesday market is 6km away. The sandy beaches of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue are 57km away. There is horse riding just beyond the property (easily reached by bike). There are a 9 hole golf course at Les Baux-de-Provence (16km) and an 18 hole course at Servanes (6km).

Exterior

The location is very peaceful and the property is vast. The Château and the Mas are set in 400 hectares of land consisting of olive groves and wheat fields, and beautiful gardens. The Château has a large terrace at the front of the building. The Mas has two terraces, one on either side of the house, one covered, one open. There are a summer kitchen and a changing room and a wc by the pool.

A member of the owner's family occupies a tower at the far end of the Château. One wing which is completely separate from the main building is occupied by a couple. The caretakers occupy an apartment in the château with a separate entrance.

Interior

The Château is elegant and comfortable with spacious attractive rooms. The ground floor consists of two living rooms, a large dining room/kitchen, and a separate wc. On the first floor are a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and a separate wc, two twin bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom with a wc. On the second floor are a twin bedroom, a bedroom with three single beds, a bathroom and a shower room with a wc, and a separate wc

The interior of the Mas is very spacious and tastefully decorated. On the ground floor are a very large and comfortable living room with a fireplace, a very well-equipped kitchen opening onto a dining area and the covered terrace, a twin bedroom with an en suite shower room, and an independent wc. A wrought-iron spiral staircase opens onto the first floor which consists of two double bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom, one twin bedroom with an adjacent bathroom, a large children’s bedroom with four single beds with en suite bathroom, and two separate wcs.
