Location

Built in the 1990s with local stone in a typical provençal style, this is a beautiful property located in a small hamlet just 6km from the picturesque village of Gordes, and near the many other pretty villages dotted around the Luberon Valley. Gordes has restaurants, cafés and a grocery store. The closest bakery and chemist are 4.5km away in Coustellet, as well as bike hire and a Sunday market; groceries can be purchased at Cabrières-d’Avignon (5km). Roussillon (13.5km) and Ménerbes (6km) are just a short drive away. The medieval papal capital Avignon is just 35km away. The closest supermarket and all shops and facilities are at Cavaillon (10km). 

Horse riding is possible at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (17km) and there is a leisure lake for swimming and sailing at Apt (21km). There are 9 and 18 hole golf courses at Saumane-de-Vaucluse (16km). There are beautiful beaches all along the Mediterranean coast with the closest in Marseille and Carry-le-Rouet (both 90km), Sausset-les-Pins (94km) and La Couronne (98km).

Exterior

The hilltop location provides stunning south-facing panoramic views across a valley towards the Luberon mountains and onto the Alpilles in the distance to the west. The house is set in a large well-maintained landscaped garden of 6000sqm with lawns ideal for children. There are various terraces for sitting out and outdoor dining, and a wc close to the pool. There is one neighbouring house with quiet occupants . There is a charge of 320 €  per week to heat the pool to 27°C, weather permitting. This is payable locally.

Interior

The interior is spacious and furnished to a high standard in a comfortable and contemporary style. On the ground floor are a large double-height living room with a beamed sloping ceiling and an open fireplace, and a dining room (both leading to covered terraces), a study/TV room, and a large very well-equipped kitchen with a further dining area and doors opening onto a terrace with a barbecue. Also on the ground floor are a twin bedroom with french doors to a terrace and an en suite bathroom and a wc, two twin bedrooms and a shower room with a wc, and a separate wc.

On the first floor is the master bedroom (twin beds) with french doors to a private terrace and an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and a wc, and a twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a wc.

The 6th twin bedroom is located in a separate annexe (external access only) and has an en suite shower room and a separate wc.

All the twin beds can be put together to make double beds (please give preference at time of booking).
