This elegant 17th century house is set in 22 hectares of grounds in hilly wooded countryside, in a good location for visiting the main towns of the Dordogne - Bergerac (30km), Sarlat (75km) and Périgueux (24km). The lovely village of Grignols is 2km away and has basic shops (baker, grocer), restaurants and a post office; the owner of the property organises concerts and theatrical events at its château and church. There is a wider selection of shops and tennis courts in Neuvic (6km), as well as fishing and canoeing on the Isle River.
Pony and horse riding are possible at Grignols (3km) and bike hire at Mussidan (16km). Clients are welcome to bring their own horses as there are stables in the grounds (more information on request). There are many paths from the property suitable for riding and walking.
There is an 18 hole golf course at Périgueux (24km), and a leisure lake at St-Paul-de-Serre (9km), and river swimming is possible at St-Astier (8km), a beautiful village with a very good market on Thursday mornings.
The owner of the property organises classical, jazz and world music concerts in the local church to raise funds for its restoration:
