In an enviable hilly position away from the hubbub of the coast, this wonderful villa enjoys a privileged setting in beautiful wooded countryside and fabulous views of the Grimaud and Cogolin Valley. All shops and restaurants and cafés can be found in the medieval village of Grimaud (4km), in lively Ste-Maxime (17km) and the charming and ever-fashionable village of St-Tropez (16km) with its old quarter and Citadelle is full of lively cafés and restaurants and offers all services; there are markets on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Car-free Port-Grimaud and La Garde-Freinet are close by (9km).

There is a particularly good market at Ramatuelle (16km) on Thursday and Sunday mornings; Ramatuelle is a picturesque medieval village in a beautiful quiet setting which contrasts nicely with the trendy coastal villages.

The beautiful Abbaye du Thoronet, a Cistercian abbey founded in the 12th century, is 38km away; it formed part of the "Three Provençal Sisters", the other two being L'Abbaye de Sénanque and the Abbaye de Silvacane. The monastery of Chartreuse de la Verne (25km) is well worth visiting for its gorgeous location and views.

There is an 18 hole golf course at Ste-Maxime, as well as horse riding and bicycle hire. The nearest 18 hole golf course is at Beauvallon (12.5km). Polo is possible at St-Tropez. Toulon, Nice and Marseille airports are between one and one and a half hours away. The nearest sandy beaches are in Beauvallon, St-Tropez and Ste-Maxime.
