Hattie and Dave: This place in the world and this home in it will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives! We had the most enchanting, relaxing memorable two weeks – (from our two year old all the way up through our war veteran!) it was simply perfect
The Sayers family: We had a most interesting family holiday. A great chance to explore lovely Normandy. Our welcome was lovely, and Joselyne and Melanie were charming and helpful.
The Guilford gang: Love the château and loved the company and will cherish the memories!
Rose and David: A most enjoyable visit - way beyond our expectations! From the moment we drove through the gates until we left seven days later, our château created a volume of memories which will live with us forever. Paulette and Françoise were most helpful and kind
George Holmes: Our family enjoyed our stay at the château. The children enjoyed the charm of exploring and discovering around the grounds of the château. Our family had a wonderful time exploring the back roads and ‘histoire’ de Normandie. We had a marvellous time!
Anne Patterson: We had a wonderful time and will always have fond memories of Château Canchy and its environs. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
Mr & Mrs Pillman: What a wonderful and relaxing place. We loved exploring the little towns. A trip not to be forgotten!
The Wright family: Many thanks for a fairy tale week.
Francis Neuwirth: I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Canchy which charmed us all and, I believe I can state categorically, we all had a perfectly wonderful time there. Indeed, to coin a phrase, it was Enchanted August.
Mr Peter Joseph: We had a wonderful week exploring and relaxing. Our children have learned more about D-Day than they ever imagined in their wildest nightmares! We loved Mont-St-Michel, the Bayeux tapestries, the Caen Terminal, and other wonderful sights (and sites).
Chuck Goldman: Now that I'm back for a while I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our week at Canchy, Melanie showed us the comments from your previous guests and the spirit of all those comments rings true for us as well. The sunsets were magnificent. The "moos" of the cows were always a pleasant reminder of the farmland greenery that makes Normandy so special. The French people we encountered were only friendly and helpful. The very first day when we were momentarily lost a neighbor of yours got into his car and said, Suivez-moi!", to get us to the château. We all also enjoyed the tranquility of Canchy and we were able to picnic late in the late evening sun in the bucolic beauty of Canchy.
Kirk Stambler and Victoria Tennant: Every day since leaving Canchy I have thought about our time there and your meticulous care of Canchy and us. I noticed every detail of your thoughtfulness and appreciated how wonderfully you have designed the house, run the house and all the ladies who work there, and prepared the house for weary travellers. The bottled water and sweets, the maps and brochures and books, the wine and food and the lovely flowers in every room. You are an unparalleled host, thank you so much for our weeks there. Katya talks about the Castle and the food and about speaking French a lot, it was a great experience for her just when her intelligence and imagination are on fire. Thank you.
Jonathan O'Herron: On belhalf of the O'Herron and Burleigh families, I want to express our deepest appreciation for the opportunity you gave us to be guests at your home in Normandy. You were a most gracious host when we arrived and, once we met your staff, we felt like part of the family.
