I stayed in a renovated farmhouse on the banks of the Dordogne River near Bergerac. There was a pool, a huge garden, superb restaurants nearby and all set in one of the most beautiful corners of Europe. It was altogether one of the nicest, most peaceful holidays I've ever had and it didn't break the bank.
