Antibes – Juan-les-Pins

   

There are battles of flowers all along the Riviera in summer, the most famous at Nice, whose huge annual parade of garlanded lorries has taken place each August for more than a century.  This June procession that follows the coast road between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins is less spectacular but in many ways more relaxed. Even the French gendarmes have been known to lob a flower or two back at the pretty girls on the floats. Local bands create music on the move, relishing their captive audience, and everyone has a good time.
