Lectoure is a charming and lively small town with many activities and one of the area's most famous restaurants. It's an unusual privilege to have the opportunity to spend a holiday at its centre, and particularly in such a beautiful house.

This listed 17th century town house is located at the heart of the charming and lively hilltop village of Lectoure which offers all shops and services, good restaurants, a Friday market, a cinema, a spa, bicycle hire and tennis courts. Fleurance (10km) has markets on Tuesday and Saturday. To the east is the small town of Condom (22km) with its impressive cathedral, many restaurants and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday markets. Agen is 37km to the north and Auch is 36km to the south with a market on Thursday and Saturday, a large cathedral famous for its stunning interior, and an attractive old quarter busy with shops, cafés and very good restaurants. There are many regional festivals and fêtes during the summer.
There is a leisure lake, the Lac des Trois Vallées, for swimming, canoeing and fishing 4km away. Horse riding is possible at Pauilhac (7.5km) and there are a 9 hole golf course at Fleurance and 18 hole courses at Auch and Eauze (51km).
The house gives on to two streets. Access via the main street of the town is through imposing 15th century gates and a path flanked by beautiful flowerbeds leading to the interior courtyard containing the swimming pool. The neighbouring house (see photo) belongs to the same owners and is not occupied. There are panoramic views of attractive countryside from the first floor bedrooms at the back of the house.
There is parking space in the town square further down the street the property is situated on.
There is a charge of £100 per week to heat the pool to around 30°C, weather permitting.
The interior has been restored to a high standard. The elegance and beauty of the interior is in harmony with its attractive contemporary furnishings. On the ground floor are very spacious rooms: two sitting rooms, a dining room, a study, a very well equipped modern kitchen, a large double bedroom (overlooking the pool area) with an en suite shower room with a wc, and a separate wc.
A beautiful wide stone staircase takes you up to the first floor where there are two large double bedrooms both overlooking the pool area and each with an en suite bathroom with a separate shower unit and a wc. There is a games room with table tennis. At the back of the house all the bedrooms have wonderful views of the countryside: a twin bedroom for children, a single bedroom and two double bedrooms, each with en suite facilities (three shower rooms with a wc and one bathroom with a wc).
