Location

This beautifully-restored 18th century complex of buildings is situated on the edge of the small village of Ginestet, 10km northwest of Bergerac, within easy reach of all the Dordogne sights and attractions. Ginestet has a small supermarket, a bakery and a café a few minute's walk away from the house. Bergerac is a historic market town (market on Wednesdays and Saturdays) well-known thanks to Cyrano; it offers lovely walks in its old quarters along the banks of Dordogne River and many delightful restaurants and good local wine.

There are tennis courts at La Force (7.5km). Horse riding, bike hire and tandem skydiving are possible in Bergerac. At St-Laurent-des-Vignes (18km) there is karting, an aquapark, canoeing and swimming in the Dordogne River. There is a 9 hole golf course at Mouleydier (20km) and an 18 hole course at Monestier (22km).

Exterior

There are two buildings, 20m from each other, which open onto an enclosed courtyard: the Chai, a well restored independent outbuilding with its original winepress and bread oven, and the Manor House which will not be occupied. The swimming pool is next to the Chai; it has a shallow section for children which overflows into the main pool and has a very spacious covered terrace, ideal for outdoor meals. There is a small house on the grounds occupied by a single person.

Interior

The interior is comfortable and very tastefully furnished with much charm and character, and retains all the original features. There is a huge main living area with a kitchen area to one end, and a separate wc. One of the double bedrooms is only accessible from the pool area, and has an integrated bath, a shower and a separate wc. The second double bedroom also has an integrated bath and opens both onto the pool and living areas. The twin bedroom opens onto the living area and the courtyard. There are a shower and a separate wc near the twin bedroom. The children's bedroom with four single beds is on a mezzanine reached via a ladder behind the kitchen and overlooks the living area - it has a shower cubicle.

Occupancy is limited to 10 persons (maximum 6 adults)
