Combining the grape with the groove, this music festival teams up with local vineyards to give guests the chance to mingle with the musicians after the show over a glass of wine. The concerts take place in various village locations, with views across beautiful countryside.

Performed in one of the world’s best-preserved Roman amphitheatres, this is one of the oldest music festivals in France and held in the historic city of Orange. It’s a truly operatic spectacle, and the 2016 programme includes Madame Butterfly, Verdi’s Requiem and La Traviata.

Taking place once every three years, this international choral festival brings together 4,000 singers with compositions from different countries and eras. There are evening performances in the Roman theatre, but if you can carry a tune, join a group singing sessions or brush up your skills in a workshop.
