The property itself is in a magnificent setting, very private and lots of places to walk. Only a few kms to the local village and good shops. Owner extremely pleasant and hospitable. Very helpful.

Parting is such sweet sorrow! Sadly our lovely visit to the château has ended and now we must all return to reality chez nous. How we will miss these unforgettable surroundings and particularly our admirable host and hostess Henri and Bénédicte. Fortunately each night fell at a snail's pace and so bedtime often did not occur until nearly midnight and so we were able to enjoy everything to its fullest. The rather cool weather prevented some swimming but just being there was enough. Everyone talks about coming back and this seems to be definitely in mind. Clearly there's nowhere in the world where we could have had a happier 50th birthday celebration.

We would like to thank you for your hospitality. We have enjoyed the experience of living in a château and of exploring the lovely Dordogne countryside. It is hard to believe our wonderful visit to your château is now over. I for one, can barely pull myself away from your home and we all have talked of returning soon. You both have been such gracious hosts and have made us feel most welcome in your country! Our own three princesses had their very own château!! The weather during our week here has been 'changeable', to say the least. Charming hosts made us feel most welcome. We feel very rested. And we loved the marché at Lalinde on Thursday morning.

- a wonderful and magical place to have a 60th birthday!! Three generations enjoyed the château and its surroundings. Many happy hours around the pool - walking and watching wildlife - eating under the stars in the evening. The gentle peace only uninterrupted with the sound of owls and movement of bats. Thank You!! We have had the most marvelous week in your château. This is my first real visit to France, Dordogne and it has exceeded all my imagination. The house is majestic and the accommodation wonderful especially the kitchen - the heart of the château!! We have loved every perfect moment, Lalinde, St Avit, G.R.6E (highly recommended walk). Foie Gras, salad, afternoon swims. World Cup Rugby etc. etc. Thank you for your hospitality, histoire, and home. Merci beaucoup from us all. We will return.

What a wonderful home you have! Everywhere we looked we found history and stories. The view from the beautiful pool made our holiday as did watching the owls come and go ... with the odd view of the chicks as they peeped out from the rafter. Anyone who stays here should make sure they turn all the lights out one evening and just star watch. Incredible. Also we had a great day canoeing on the river. A wonderful four hours of drifting (don't go on a weekend day!). A great holiday and we will pass on the news of your wonderful home.
