Thirty years ago I was offered a business on a plate: a group of 40 villas compiled by a friend who needed a new agent in the UK. I spoke French, had a degree in History of Art and had worked for two years for a villa rental company, where I learned how NOT to run a holiday business. I then used that experience to shape what would become Dominique’s Villas.
I started with a small office, a cat on my lap, an electric typewriter, and mostly the help and inspiration of my late father, Leonard Koven, a veteran of the package holiday (Director of Horizon Holidays 1949-1974) and a very good painter. Thanks to him our twenty-seven years of printed/or published brochures and this website are adorned with colourful watercolours and acrylic paintings which convey the best France has to offer.
Over the years I built up an extensive portfolio of the best châteaux and villas France has to offer. Due to my team’s love of France we have also created a section on this website containing area spotlights, information on France and much more. Join our faithful clients who return year after year...
During 2016 I will be letting go of my long-cherished programme of villas and joining forces with another villa specialist www.simpsontravel.com. I've known Graham Simpson of Simpson Travel for many years; he’s the safe hands I’ve been looking for to continue what I started. I’ll be working closely with his team over the next few years, sharing my knowledge and experience as they gradually take on our villas in France and beyond – so dominiquesvillas.co.uk will stay up and running for the time being, but you’ll also find our properties appearing on their website.
