Location

Situated 2.5km from the lovely village of Oppède-le-Vieux, this property is close to the charming market town of Cavaillon (10km), with its ancient cathedral, and is within easy driving distance of the medieval papal capital, Avignon (34km). There are shops at Oppède (1.3km) and at Coustellet (2.5km). It is just outside a small hamlet in a private but not too isolated spot off a small lane. There is an 18 hole golf course at Saumane-de-Vaucluse (15km). Tennis courts are at Cavaillon and horse riding at Taillades (6km). There is a lake for fishing only at Cheval-Blanc (12km) and one for jet ski only at Cavaillon.

Exterior

The property is set in the middle of 1000sqm of grounds and a further 2000sqm of its own vineyards. This delightful stone house opposite the Luberon mountain range enjoys splendid views over the Vaucluse. Banked by pink laurel bushes, the house has a swimming pool with a paved surround bordered by rich vegetation.

There is a charge of 200 Euros per week to heat the pool. This is payable locally.

Interior

The interior is decorated in rustic style and is both tasteful and comfortable, combining modern furnishings with local antiques and many paintings. The cosy living room boasts authentic wooden beams and a lovely fireplace, and incorporates the dining area. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is a separate laundry room with a wc. A twin bedroom with an en suite shower room and a wc and a bathroom with a wc are on the ground floor. The other bedrooms, including two double bedrooms each with an en suite shower room with a wc, are on the first floor.

Occupancy is limited to 8 persons.
