For clients requiring a night's accommodation en route to or from their villa, we are able to offer a very good and varied selection of hotels in a wide range of destinations in association with Hotels Abroad. They specialize in arranging overnight and short stay accommodation for motorists in France. There is a choice of over 500 carefully-selected hotels and bed & breakfasts. Prices range from about £40 for double rooms with bath, and about £50 for triple rooms with bath. Family rooms for 4 or even 5 are also often available.
The hotels range from small family-run auberges to fairly luxurious 3-star establishments. The bed & breakfasts range from farmhouses to country manors. They have been carefully selected and all must pass Hotels Abroad's 'good value for money' test. They are constantly monitored to ensure that their standards are maintained.
Car Parking: Most hotels have ample private parking. However, some city hotels do not have this facility and, in these cases, adequate public parking is always available within a reasonable distance.
Restaurants: The majority of the hotels have restaurants but, with very few exceptions, you are not obliged to have your evening meal there. However, you should aim to be at the hotel by 8pm or earlier if you wish to eat in the hotel restaurant, otherwise you may have difficulty in obtaining a meal. Where the hotel does not have a restaurant there is usually at least one nearby.
Finding the hotels: You will receive instructions with a sketch map to enable you to locate them together with the accommodation vouchers.
Arrival and departure times: You can check in at most hotels as early as 2pm. You are normally expected to leave by 11am. If you leave before 7.30am you may not be able to obtain breakfast, although most channel port hotels are organised to serve very early breakfast.
Access for late arrivals: Arrangements have been made with all hotels for those arriving late to be able to find their rooms. However, unless the hotel has a night porter service, you should plan to arrive no later than 10pm (or 8pm for dinner). Late arrival arrangements (details given with vouchers) are only for unforeseen delays, and it will probably involve your having to telephone the hotel. Please plan to arrive before 7pm if you have booked B&B accommodation.
Late bookings: An extra charge of £3 per hotel is made for 1 night bookings requested within 5 working days of your departure date.
