Located in a stunning and unspoilt part of the southwest, this beautifully-preserved three-towered château will take you back to the middle ages – it was built in the 13th century. The attractive market town of Montbazens is 1.5km away; it offers a full range of shops and services, cafés and restaurants, a Wednesday market, a public tennis court and bike hire. Villefranche-sur-Rouergue (28km) is a beautiful town well worth discovering, as is Figeac (28km) further north in the Lot. Night markets and festivals abound in the summer. The impressive viaduct at Millau is just one hour away.

Horse riding is possible at Asprières (8km) as well as swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the rivers Lot (20km) and Aveyron (12km). Swimming and water sports are also possible on the leisure lakes at Privezac (10km) and Pareloup (69km away but 120km of water front). There is a 9 hole golf course at Villefranche-de-Rouergue and an 18 hole golf course at Ouet-le-Château (41km).

The property enjoys three hectares of grounds in a secluded position on a plateau with the closest neighbour 500m away. There are panoramic views of rolling farmland and woods, and the setting is very peaceful. There is an outdoor shower by the swimming pool which is set in an attractive garden and enclosed by a mature hedge.

The owners occupy a house next to the château.

The ground floor (with a separate wc and a laundry room) serves as access to the first floor via a beautiful stone spiral staircase. The furnishings are very comfortable, and the decor is in keeping with the style of the building: oak panelling, tapestries, ancestral portraits, antique furniture, rugs over wooden floors. The first floor consists of four large rooms served by a spacious hall and each with a fireplace: a living room, a study, a dining room with a beautiful oak table and a kitchen with a dining table.

On the second floor are a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom (with a wc) in one of the towers, a double bedroom with an en suite shower room (with a wc) in another tower, a third double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, a shower room with a wc, and a separate wc.
