There is so much to do at the property (heatable pool, tennis court, billiards, etc) and you'll be even more tempted to stay in once you've made the most of the charming owner's cooking skills. But then you'll find it hard to resist visiting the lovely sites nearby. |

Location |
This delightful 17th century property has been restored to a very high standard with much care and authenticity by the French owners, well-established interior designers and hoteliers. The location is ideal for exploring the best aspects of the Dordogne, all within an hour's drive: its prehistoric past at Lascaux, Les Eyzies and the valley of the Vézère; the famous vineyards of Monbazillac, Bergerac, St Emilion and Bordeaux; the varied watersports along the river. It is conveniently located 115km from Bordeaux airport (now just over one hour by motorway), with closest shops and services in the small town of Mussidan (5km).
The owner can organise picnics on the shores of a private lake nearby (charge payable locally) |
| |
Exterior |
| The setting of the property is idyllic with its park blending into fields lined with poplar trees, and there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. There is a charge payable for the pool to be heated; this will vary according to the temperature required (measured on a meter). The private tennis court is located within the grounds close to the house. The owner lives in a house in the hamlet and looks after the grounds and the property. |

Interior |
| Quality materials have been used to complement the existing features - original beams and monumental fireplaces. The Manoir has spacious and very comfortable living areas, with a well-equipped kitchen opening onto a beautiful covered terrace for dining outdoors. Also on the ground floor are a twin bedroom (can be made up as a double) with an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and a wc at the lower garden level (reached via a steep spiral staircase), and a double bedoom with an en suite shower room and a wc. Another double bedroom with an en suite shower room and a separate wc is at garden level. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor (one of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with a wc, one of the twins can be made up as a double, and the single bedroom is simply furnished). |
