This exceptional périgourdine house is situated in the heart of the beautiful Périgord Noir, in a wonderful serene setting on a hill overlooking the Vézère River, close to the most famous prehistoric sites in France: Les Eyzies (6.5km) and the Lascaux Caves (20km). All shops and services are available at Sarlat, a fascinating market town 22km away. Les Eyzies has a selection of small shops. There are tennis courts 500m away, 9 hole golf courses at Vitrac (31km) and at St-Félix-de-Reilhac (22km), and an 18 hole golf course at Siorac-en-Périgord (26km).

The house is built with a mixture of original and reproduction materials to a very high standard in a very attractive style, with all rooms arranged around an interior courtyard, an indoor swimming pool area with sliding glass doors that open onto a spacious terrace with beautiful views of the surrounding wooded countryside. There is access to the grounds from the terrace. Just off the swimming pool, clients can benefit from the ultimate luxury of the hammam (Turkish bath) which provides relaxation at any time of day. There is also a shower by the pool.

The pool is heated to 26°C free of charge.

The interior is superbly decorated and tastefully combines antique and stylish modern furnishings to provide a warm and relaxing atmosphere. A spacious living/dining room with exposed beams and an attractive fireplace is on the ground floor, as well as a relatively small kitchen and two separate wcs. On the first floor are a sitting room with a French billiard table and a large screen satellite TV, with windows overlooking the pool area, as well as a suite containing three single beds, a sitting area and an en suite bathroom with a separate wc. The other bedrooms, each with a TV and telephone, and an en suite bathroom or shower room with a separate wc, are furnished in different styles, and open onto the covered courtyard.

Meals and baby-sitting can be arranged with the housekeeper. The house can be rented with or without the option of meal service. With service, clients can order meals (including breakfast) from the local auberge run by the same owners - orders must be placed well in advance and prices are available on request. The laundry room can only be accessed by the housekeeper.

The property is suitable for wheelchair access.

Clients staying at the property are obliged to pay a local Taxe de Séjour (approx. 1.5 Euros per person per day). This is payable locally prior to departure.
